a woman on a roof

Dorris Lessing's short story which is about 3 working men and a woman who sun bathes on a roof. Me,Yalçın and Cemre presented this story on lesson, it was a enjoyable presentation for me.It is a symbolic story, there is many symboles in the text for example heat, rain, roof,red bikini e.g. for example heat represent passion and then rain at the end is reminiscent of a cold shower shows a return to normal, back to reality, roof represent shows the gap society has created through its manufactured views of gender roles. The woman is on a seperate roof than the men seperated by a gap finally, red bikini represents sexuality and desire. There are many symbols like them in the story . When we were preparing the presentation, we did not deal with big problems because we work with our group members in harmony, everyone helped each other. Our biggest problem was Koray who is our forth group member.
